Choices, choices.
I just had dinner with the fam, and it was damn good to see Mark Bailey again. He's a good friend of mine, and my sister's boyfriend. He's a corporal in the Canadian Forces and just returned from tour in Afghanistan. There's some of his stories of near-death that I'd rather not hear. But I'm greatful that he puts enough trust in me to tell me, all the same.
But the choice in which I'm going to strike a balance is this. I've gotten many invites for tonight. I've purchased a ticket to the UNB Engineering Undergraduate Society's Pub Crawl, of the theme "Talk Nerdy To Me". I could make a late appearance to see some old school buddies. Also, I've gotten an opportunity to hang out with an extremely cool and cute girl... that I like alot. Renee and her friend's are headed to the Social Club, and I could join them for Renee's birthday festivities. I actually got the invite from her friend's, and Renee sortof mentioned the possibility of my going as well. But it much funner to attend by surprise, then by expectation. :0P
I also got an invite from some old friends of mine to hang out for the night. And this is my last night in Fredericton. On top of that, my old old old highschool buddy, Kennie, and his g/f are going to pop by in just a few minutes. Gak!!!!! I'm overwhelmed.
OK, going to think this one out loud. Renee's thing shouldn't be too early. It's about 9:45 PM now, so they may-or-may-not be at the Social Club. And hopefully, they will be there still around midnight. So, I bet if I spend an hour and a half with Kennie, that gives me enough time to haul ass over to the Social Club to see Renee and her peeps. Time allowing, I'll catch the tail end of "Talk Nerdy To Me".
Let's see how my plan pans out.
